About Sport Endurance
Sport Endurance is a pleasure riding organisation, offering pleasure rides for all ages and abilities of rider and permitting riders to ride across land not normally accessible, whether you ride a Shetland or a Shire, we have rides to cater for everyone.
Our Mission is:
Sport Endurance are a group of volunteers whose mission it is to provide a recognised organisation promoting the sport of Long Distance Pleasure Riding while respecting it's members , non members and volunteers of all ages and abilities and providing awards for their achievement.

Our decisions and development in the first instance will be based on these values. They will set the direction and cultural ethos of the organisation.
Aims and Objectives
We are an equal opportunity organisation offering riders the choice to join a group which values sportsmanship, integrity, trust and tolerance, and places the welfare of its members and their horses as its primary responsibility.
- To provide endurance riding at all levels for all.
- To demonstrate a duty of care to all our members by providing a safe and healthy environment for riders and horses to participate in the sport of Endurance Riding.
- To promote horsemanship within the sport.
- To ensure horse welfare at all times.
- To disseminate knowledge of the sport.
- To create and encourage a friendly community of like minded volunteers to support the rides.
- To promote a drug-free sport
History
In 2005, in response to an increasing demand from endurance riders past and present, a new endurance riding group was launched. A number of like-minded individuals formed a competitive national sporting organisation to provide equal opportunities for everyone, at all levels, to enjoy endurance and long-distance riding.
Post Covid pandemic the group of Sport Endurance volunteers remain passionate and committed to continue to provide rides and value for money for their members.
